Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 15, 2026

Privacy summary: Jet Lag Bye has no account system, developer-operated backend, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or third-party SDK. We do not collect data from the App. Your trip, sleep, progress, preference, and purchase-access information stays local. A non-identifying iOS Keychain marker records whether the complimentary itinerary has been used and normally remains after the App is deleted and reinstalled on the same device. The marker itself is device-only, does not transfer to another device, and is not received by us. Apple's device-backup and restore services may separately preserve local App preferences. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Jet Lag Bye (the “App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use the iOS App. It does not govern Apple's independent processing through the App Store, MapKit, Core Location, or other Apple services.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

To provide its features, the App stores the following information locally on your device:

This information is used on your device to generate plans, remember preferences, show progress and history, schedule local notifications, and provide purchased access. It is not sent to us or stored on developer-controlled servers.

The Keychain marker records only whether the one-time local complimentary itinerary has already been used. It is not an account, advertising identifier, or device identifier. It normally survives deletion and reinstallation of the App on the same device, but the marker itself is device-only and does not transfer to another device. Separately, when Apple restores an App backup, local preferences may preserve prior complimentary-itinerary eligibility and unused Single Trip Plan credits. Processed or revoked consumable transaction identifiers also remain local and are used only to prevent duplicate credit or remove access after an Apple revocation or refund. We do not receive any of these local access records.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not send us personal data, travel or sleep information, precise location, device identifiers, usage analytics, advertising data, diagnostics, contacts, photos, health records, or payment details. The App does not contain tracking technology and does not use data for advertising or profiling.

4. City Search and Time-Zone Lookup

The App does not request access to your device's precise location. It can read the device's current time-zone setting to suggest a representative departure city.

When you type a city search or select a search result, the App uses Apple's MapKit and Core Location geocoding services to return place information and determine a time zone. Apple may process the search text, place, or coordinates needed to provide those results under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store those service requests on our own servers. The selected place and time zone are saved only on your device as part of your itinerary.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

Apple independently processes App Store purchases, billing information, transaction records, refunds, and subscription management. The App uses StoreKit to verify access on your device and stores only the local state necessary to deliver that access. We do not receive your payment-card or Apple Account credentials and do not maintain a purchase database.

Apple's collection and use of purchase information is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy, not this policy.

6. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App schedules reminders locally through Apple's UserNotifications framework. Notification content and preferences are not sent to a developer server. You can change permission in iOS Settings and manage plan reminders inside the App.

7. Storage, Retention, and Security

Most App data remains in the App's local storage and is protected by the security features of your device and iOS. It remains until you delete individual saved items, reset relevant settings, or delete the App. The complimentary-itinerary eligibility marker is stored separately in the iOS Keychain and normally remains after App deletion or reinstallation on the same device. Apple's device-backup and restore services may preserve local App preferences, including prior complimentary-itinerary eligibility and unused Single Trip Plan credits. Backup contents, restored device data, and Keychain behavior are controlled by iOS, your iCloud settings, and Apple's services; Jet Lag Bye does not guarantee that any local access state will be preserved by a backup.

No method of storage is guaranteed to be completely secure. Keep your device and Apple Account protected with appropriate security controls.

8. Your Choices

Because we do not receive your in-App data, we cannot retrieve or delete it from a developer server.

9. Support Communications

If you choose to email support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you send. This information is provided outside the App, is used only to respond, investigate the issue, protect the service, or meet legal obligations, and is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. Do not send payment details, Apple Account credentials, or sensitive health information.

10. Children's Privacy

The App does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of sleep, caffeine, or melatonin guidance and control purchases through Apple's parental controls.

11. International Processing

We do not transfer in-App data to developer servers in any country. Apple may process information through its services in accordance with its own privacy policy and your regional terms.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the App, its privacy practices, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.
