Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you download, install, purchase through, or use the Jet Lag Bye iOS application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Your license to the App is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and applicable App Store terms.

2. Service

Jet Lag Bye creates personalized, informational schedules based on the itinerary and sleep information you enter. Plans may include suggested times for sleep, waking, light exposure, caffeine, and optional melatonin. The App supports one-way and round-trip itineraries, saved history, progress tracking, and optional local notifications. Annual Unlimited also includes Reset Sleep.

3. Eligibility and Family Use

If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, use the App only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. The Apple Account holder is responsible for purchases made through that account and for configuring parental purchase controls.

4. Accounts and Local Data

The App does not require a Jet Lag Bye account. Trip, sleep, plan, progress, preference, and purchase-access information is stored locally. A non-identifying iOS Keychain marker normally remains after deletion and reinstallation on the same device solely to record whether the complimentary itinerary has been used. The marker itself is device-only, does not transfer to another device, and is not received by the developer. Separately, an Apple device backup may preserve local App preferences when restored. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and any backups. See the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Free Access and In-App Purchases

5.1 First Itinerary

The App includes one complete travel itinerary at no charge and without requiring a payment card. The complimentary itinerary may be either one-way or round-trip and is a one-time local offer. A non-identifying iOS Keychain marker records local eligibility and normally survives deletion and reinstallation on the same device, so reinstalling normally does not reset the offer. The marker itself is device-only and does not transfer to another device. Separately, restoring an Apple device backup may preserve prior complimentary-itinerary eligibility.

5.2 Single Trip Plan

• The U.S. price is $9.99 as a one-time in-app purchase.
• Each purchase provides one additional complete one-way or round-trip itinerary.
• It is a consumable product, not a subscription.
• It does not include Reset Sleep.
• StoreKit does not restore consumable purchases. An unused local credit may be preserved when Apple restores a device backup, but Jet Lag Bye does not guarantee backup preservation. Use an available plan before deleting the App or changing devices.

5.3 Annual Unlimited

• The U.S. price for new subscribers is $24.99 per year.
• It includes unlimited travel itineraries and Reset Sleep while active.
• It is an auto-renewable subscription billed through your Apple Account.
• Existing annual subscribers continue at their current subscription price while their subscription remains active. A future price change, if any, will be handled under App Store rules.

5.4 Legacy Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly access is not marketed to new users. An active legacy monthly subscriber may continue renewing and keeps the paid entitlement recognized by the App while that subscription remains active.

5.5 No Free Trial

Jet Lag Bye does not offer a free subscription trial. The no-cost offer is the first complete itinerary described above.

5.6 Prices, Renewal, and Cancellation

Prices displayed outside the App are U.S. prices for reference. The App Store purchase sheet shows the price and any tax that apply in your storefront before you buy.

Payment for Annual Unlimited is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel through iOS Settings; see Apple's subscription management instructions for details. Cancellation prevents the next renewal; access continues until the paid period ends.

5.7 Restoration, Revocation, and Refunds

Annual Unlimited and active legacy monthly subscriptions can be restored using the Apple Account that purchased them. StoreKit does not restore a Single Trip Plan because it is consumable. An unused local credit may reappear only if Apple's device-backup service preserves and restores the App's local state; Jet Lag Bye does not guarantee that preservation. The App keeps processed or revoked consumable transaction identifiers locally to prevent duplicate credit and enforce Apple revocations or refunds; the developer does not receive these identifiers. Access may be removed if Apple revokes or refunds a transaction or if a subscription expires.

Apple processes payments and decides refund eligibility. Requests may be submitted at reportaproblem.apple.com. Applicable law and Apple's policies control any refund rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You may use the App for personal, lawful planning. You may not:

• copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App except as applicable law expressly permits;
• reverse engineer, bypass access controls, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the App, except where applicable law prohibits this restriction;
• use the App to violate law or another person's rights; or
• represent App guidance as a medical diagnosis or guaranteed treatment.

7. Health and Safety Disclaimer

Jet Lag Bye provides general educational information, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Circadian adjustment, sleep loss, bright light, caffeine, and melatonin can affect people differently. The App cannot account for every medical condition, medication, pregnancy, age-related need, work requirement, or travel disruption.

• Consult a qualified healthcare professional before using melatonin or making a substantial change to sleep, light, or caffeine exposure, especially if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or nursing, or are caring for a child.
• Do not follow any recommendation when doing so would be unsafe, including while driving, operating equipment, or when alertness is required.
• Follow medical advice, medication labels, airline and employer rules, and your own judgment over any App suggestion.
• Stop following a recommendation and seek appropriate help if you experience an adverse effect.

8. No Guarantee

Plans are estimates based on the information entered and general circadian principles. We do not guarantee that a plan will prevent jet lag, produce a particular health outcome, remain feasible after schedule changes, or contain error-free place and time-zone information. Verify travel times and time zones independently and adapt recommendations to real-world safety and travel constraints.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, software, and supplied content are licensed, not sold, and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of the itinerary details you enter. The App processes those details locally only to provide its features.

10. Availability and Changes

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We may fix, change, add, remove, or discontinue features. City search, purchases, and other Apple-provided functions may depend on network availability and Apple services outside our control.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jet Lag Bye and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for travel disruption, missed transportation, loss of data, lost profits, or health effects arising from use of or inability to use the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App during the 12 months before the claim or the minimum amount required by law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the App, its purchase options, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

13. Severability and Entire Agreement

If a provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum permitted extent and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Apple's Standard EULA, and applicable App Store terms form the agreement governing your use of Jet Lag Bye.
